Finally it’s time to pay tribute to a place I’ve spent 18 years of my life…18 years…long time… but I can bet there are people who have spent much more time here than I have and still don’t share the attachment I have for this miraculous city…
MUMBAI…the city where dreams come true…This city has given me so much already…its given me my childhood…my friends…the values I possess today..nd I admit also the vices….all I am today is because of this beautiful city name MUMBAI…it doesn’t help u build a better life…it teaches u how to live ur life…it teaches u hw each day of ur life can be the best day u ever lived….
Its said that MUMBAI sleeps for just 2 hrs…believe me it’s a lie…this city does not sleep at all..nd I have witnessed it personally…u leave ur house at 3 in the night and still u will find anything u are lookin for…u’ll find people sitting by the sea chatting..u’ll find people ending their day at work..people starting their day…people searchin for bars nd discs(I belong to this class)….nd the most beautiful part is..u actually find it…
The sea is one asset that MUMBAI holds…just yesterday I was sitting by the sea at BANDSTAND at 4 in the morning…that’s the best feeling one can ever experience…just looking at the sea…the saltiness in the air…the first rays of the sun hitting the water…jst sitting nd listenin to the waves…it makes u forget everythin…your sorrows, your worries…everythin…its jst leaves a thot in ur mind that the world still is a beautiful place…
Couple of days back I was waiting for a friend at a tea-stall..nd I heard the tea-stall owner say to one of his customer…”BOHOT SUNA THA..MUMBAI ME AAYEGA TO AISH KAREGA…” nd he went on blabbering after that how all his hopes were shattered into pieces…believe me this a very big misconception people living in other parts of india have…Though its called the city where dreams come true…it’s a simple rule that u get paid here for ur efforts nd not for dreaming…Mumabi gives u wat u deserve nd not wat u desire…thousands of people have come here nd have turned to be some1 they have always wanted to be…and there have been thousands who came here nd went back empty-handed…
Some things just cant be put into words…nd this is one of those..today when I look back at the 21 years of my life I consider myself really lucky to have been born nd brought up here…Coz if I wasn’t I wud have not been some1 that I am today…I owe u a lot MUMBAI..nd I guess I can never pay u back...for everything u have given me…especially my frnds…AMOGH JOSHI,AMEY GODAMBE,AMEY KHAMKAR,KUSHAL SONIGARA,PRONOY GHOSH,ASHISH NAIR…ND MANY MORE….
LUV U LOADS MUMBAI….i don’t kno where my life will take me now…but it was a pleasant stay nd I thank u for that…u’ll always stay cloase to my heart….
